Five new bucket list tours are on offer with Great Rail Journeys
The UK’s leading escorted group rail operator has launched five new journeys as part of their worldwide brochure for 2019.
These brand new “bucket list” adventures offer once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to see the world by train.
The five new tours include Yellowstone and Wolves in Winter which is a 12-day tour which showcases the beauty of Yellowstone National Park in winter.
The itinerary starts in Utah’s Salt Lake City and takes visitors to the National Elk Refuge and Yellowstone before finishing in San Francisco.

Or, if you fancy soaking up some sun, the 14-day Indonesian Islands of Java and Bali tour may do the trick.
From smouldering volcanoes to an energetic Javanese ballet experience, the rail experience will give holidaymakers a real taste of Indonesian life before having time to relax on the beach in Bali.
New for 2019, those interested in catching the spectacular natural light phenomenon are invited to travel to Moscow to spend New Year’s Day on one of the world’s most extravagant trains, the Golden Eagle.

Spending six day’s on board, you will travel deep into Russia’s Golden Ring before crossing into the Arctic Circle.
Here, you will go ice fishing for King Crabs and hunt for the ethereal, dream-like Northern Lights.
Known as the ‘Aurora Zone’, the Arctic Circle is the best place to glimpse this stunning light display, because of its higher latitude.
Travellers will also have the chance to soak-up the festive atmosphere and celebrate Russian Christmas in St. Petersburg, before flying onwards to their final destination.
Other new tours added to the Eastern Canada and the Cabot Trail and Grand Tour of the Orient.
The Eastern Canada tour will allow passengers to discover the rugged eastern coast of Canada including Québec and Niagara Falls.
Meanwhile, the Grand Tour of the Orient covers both China and Japan.
Starting in Beijing you will see one of the world’s modern wonders – The Great Wall – and the extraordinary life-size Terracotta Army, designed to protect the emperor into his afterlife.
